Your best solution to date?

Microclimate design approach to all public housing developments in Hong Kong and sustainable hybrid ventilation of world’s biggest 'green' building “Parkview Green” in Beijing.

Why is it significant?

Microclimate design adopts site-specific approach to maximize the use of sustainable resources - natural ventilation and daylight to improving quality design of all future public housings in Hong Kong since it was introduced to the Housing Authority by me some ten years ago. Parkview Green adopted innovative hybrid ventilation concept to the offices using an innovative, passive environmental envelope external to the building blocks.

Your particular skill?

Sustainable building physics and design, computational fluid dynamics for internal and external air flow modelling.

Enthusiasm?

Urban climate mapping in the built environment; micro- and meso-scale wind modelling; zero carbon and green developments.

Why Arup?

World’s best design consultant and thought leaders devoted to most innovative and sustainable solutions in shaping a better world.
