Rome

Rome, the Eternal City, has a history that spans over two and a half thousand years as one of the founding cities of Western Civilisation. It hosts an unrivaled heritage of art and architectural and engineering monuments from the Roman times through to Renaissance, Baroque and the XXth century. It is the Capital of Italy and has the Vatican State within its boundaries.

The Rome office was opened in 2007 after Arup's permanent establishment in Italy through the Milan office in 2000.

In the Rome metropolitan area, Arup has engineered the British Embassy at Porta Pia, the millennium pedestrian bridge at the Villa Pamphili and more recently the "Ex Mercati Generali" redevelopment, "Le Generali"  HQ building, "La Muratella" development, and has provided services for Rome's International Airport "Leonardo Da Vinci" at Fiumicino.

The Rome office is actively involved in other projects in the south of Italy such as: a commercial development at Cava dei Tirreni and a rail and road infrastructure project in Salerno.
