Located on the banks of the Saigon River, around 60km from the South China Sea, Ho Chi Minh City is a major urban centre and the largest city in Vietnam. It has attracted high tech as well as manufacturing, and accounts for a large proportion of Vietnam’s wealth. Foreign investment has poured into the city.
Arup’s work includes some of the biggest high-rise residential and commercial complexes in the city, including the unusual-shaped Times Square Vietnam, 300,000m² RichLand Hill Complex, plots V and X of Sunrise City, in District 7 of the city, destined to be a 14 residential towers over a four–level retail podium of Ho Chi Minh City.
The firm also design engineered East Asia Hospital, which is envisaged to be a state-of-the-art building providing highly professional and sophisticated facilities both in terms of its hardware and software installations.
