Hilary Holden, leader of Toronto’s transportation consulting group, is speaking at two events exploring the future of land use and transit in the coming months.
On Friday, July 27, she will represent Arup on a panel presented by the Canadian Urban Institute (CUI), “The Toronto Region at Mid-Century — Is it Back to the Future?”. Along with designers, senior housing specialists, and representatives from local universities and government agencies, she will discuss how the metropolitan area might evolve by 2050. Tickets to the breakfast discussion are available on the CUI event webpage.
On Tuesday, September 18, she will speak about sustainable transportation and effective land-use planning at Evergreen Brick Works, discussing ways that urban planners and policymakers can reduce car dependency. Find out more about this early-evening event at http://ebw.evergreen.ca/move/.
