The Galleria Fashion Store in Seoul was transformed using an innovative skin of LEDs. The LEDs wrap around the building, forming a fluid and dynamic lighting display.

The sophisticated frosted glass façade has a mother of pearl effect in daytime and transforms into a vibrant and scenic lighting experience at night. The design's subtle colour changes and abstract images perfectly fit the contemporary image of the building.

Nearly 5,000 glass disks, each with their own individual luminaires, create an ocean of colour and movement. The lighting design scheme was created in close collaboration with UNStudio architects.

The control system is arguably the most elaborate system of its kind in the world. The effect of the Galleria lighting design goes far beyond colour projection.

Shoppers stop in the street, take pictures and interact with the façade. There is no sign of the dated concrete façade that previously existed.
