Design Yearbook 2010

Design is at the heart of what Arup does

Design is about identifying problems, taking decisions, creating solutions and achieving better results.

Arup harnesses teams’ and individuals’ creativity to develop innovative, sustainable, value-added solutions for clients and end users who benefit from our collaborative projects – whether massive or modest in scale.

The sixth Design Yearbook

The Arup Design Yearbook 2010, the sixth edition, is now available globally. It features over 50 of the past year’s most creative, innovative and technically-excellent projects, demonstrating that design is at the heart of what Arup does.

Arup is proud of the fact that at any one time the firm is working on a vast range of projects in many different geographies and sectors for a wide variety of clients.

"a book of its greatest hits 2010... I thought I knew Arup well, but the work of just one year is staggering in its global relevance and technical audacity"

– Chris Wise, Building magazine

From designing air traffic control towers in Germany to an underground science laboratory in the USA, Arup’s involvement in design has created real value for clients and end users, be they people, flora and fauna, cities or regions.
