Four Arup engineers win '40 Under 40' awards

Four of Arup’s engineers were selected as recipients of the 2010 '40 Under 40' award from Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine.

This award is given to 40 building industry professionals 40 and younger who stand out in their academic, professional, personal and community achievements.

Arup’s honourees include:

• Raj Daswani, co-leader of Arup’s San Francisco mechanical engineering team.
• Brian Stacy, leader of Arup’s lighting design group in the Americas.
• David Jacoby, manager of Arup’s New York fire engineering team.
• Andy Thompson, leader of the firm's risk consulting practice in the Americas.

Candidates were nominated by a professional colleague, and were judged based on commitment to excellence in a variety of areas.

"These 40 professionals stand out among their peers," says Amara Rozgus, Editor in Chief of Consulting-Specifying Engineer. "They are some of the best and brightest minds of the building industry, and we can learn a great deal from their professional achievements."
