Arup’s cost management capability has received a boost as Deirdre Chapman, a chartered surveyor with over 20 years’ experience, joins the firm.
Deirdre joins as practice leader of Arup’s established cost management team which provides services to both building and infrastructure projects.
Deirdre Chapman comments: “There is great potential to grow Arup’s cost management business, particularly around strategic cost advice. I believe that enhancing the firm’s ability to provide joined up design and cost management services will bring significant value to clients. Arup will not only be able to help clients evaluate whole-life costs and maximise what they can achieve with their budgets, but also create the financial room for good design.”

Dierdre Chapman
Deirdre Chapman is a cost management professional with over 20 years’ experience delivering complex projects in both the UK and Ireland on budget and within tight timescales.
Prior to joining Arup, Deirdre was a Director at Davis Langdon which she joined in 1997, having qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1992.
Deirdre’s project experience includes acting in a lead surveyor role and delivering cost planning, procurement and pre and post contract cost management services to both the public and private sectors.
Most recently she worked with Arup on Dublin’s Terminal 2.
