Dr Ryan Falconer wins CILTA’s 2014 Young Professional of the Year Award

Arup’s Dr Ryan Falconer was recognised at the Chartered Instute of Logistics and Transport’s (CILTA) national annual awards ceremony on Saturday, 6 September 2014 in Melbourne.

Dr Falconer, a Senior Transport Planner in Perth, was recognised for his significant achievements and contributions as a young professional to both Arup and the transport and logistics industry with the prestigious Young Professional Award.

Ryan is an emerging leader in the transport and logistics industry and he has a proven track-record of adding value for clients, his firm and the transport and logistics industry more broadly.

Ryan showed immense commitment to the transport and logistics sector in the development and implementation of efficient, effective and sustainable integrated transport systems that enhance the commuter experience. He avidly supports the profession and this is evidenced by his enthusiastic involvement in any number of committees and conferences. Ryan also showed that he could achieve a balance between academic and commercial enterprises. - CILTA Annual Awards for Excellence 2014 Judging Panel.

Ryan has led innovative transport planning projects for both Government and private clients and is sought-after for international projects. His resume includes a range activities including authoring several publications, peer review roles and numerous conferences presentations, both nationally and internationally. He has been recipient of a number of national industry awards, including Consult Australia’s Future Leader Gold Award and AITPM’s Janet Brash National Award for Transport Planning Innovation. 

The CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport) Australia Annual Awards for Excellence 2014 celebrated the accomplishments of some of the finest passenger, freight, transport and logistics companies and individuals in the world.
