Arup is providing integrated engineering services in collaboration with Morphosis for the LEED-rated diplomatic facility in Lebanon.

The new embassy compound for the United States Department of State Bureau of Overseas Building Operations (OBO) is being constructed on 43 acres of US government-owned property in Aoukar, located approximately 11km north of Beirut City. The embassy is expected to achieve LEED Silver.

In addition to structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services, we are also providing site electrical infrastructure, façades, fire and life safety, acoustics, audio visual, lighting, and sustainability services, including CFD and climate analysis.

"After several successful projects working with Morphosis, Arup is thrilled to collaborate on this embassy compound in Beirut. We look forward to contributing to an excellent diplomatic facility for the Department of State."Erin McConahey, Arup principal and project director

Arup has collaborated with Morphosis on a number of completed projects including the San Francisco Federal Building, Caltrans District 7 Headquarters in downtown Los Angeles, Emerson College Los Angeles Center, Cooper Union Academic Building in New York, and Diamond Ranch High School in Diamond Bar, California.

In addition to the Beirut Embassy, we are working on the new US Embassy in London with KieranTimberlake, which is currently under construction, as well as the new consulate in Matamoros, Mexico, with richärd+bauer.
