Arup has been appointed to the Department of Energy and Climate Change’s (DECC) new Energy Technical Specialist Framework.

The firm submitted bids for 17 out of the 22 lots – including nuclear technologies, onshore wind and energy efficiency in buildings - and was successful in all of them.

We are delighted to have been appointed to so many lots in DECC’s Energy Framework. The appointment recognises the tremendous breadth of skills we have across the energy market and this framework will help develop robust UK energy policy over the coming years. ” Ian Gardner Ian Gardner Former Global Energy Systems Leader

DECC went out to tender with the £10 million energy technical specialist framework in November 2014. Firms have now been appointed across 22 lots in a four-year framework agreement which will help to determine, evaluate and deliver UK energy and climate change policy.

The framework will help provide DECC with a summary of current energy technologies and practices in areas ranging from nuclear, wind, and solar to carbon capture and storage, heat networks and many others. Lots have a value of up to £450,000 each and will involve up to six suppliers.

Please visit the DECC website to read more about the broad range of activities in this area.
