For the sixth consecutive year, Arup has been named in “The Times Top 50 Employers for Women”, formally recognising the firm as one of the top 50 companies in the UK that are leading the way in gender equality in the workplace.

Published today, the list provides a comprehensive review of organisations’ internal processes and external activity which are aimed at creating positive working environments for both men and women.

Diversity is imperative for any organisation. More diverse teams make better decisions, are more creative, and are better at problem solving. We still have a way to go, as a firm and as an industry, but we are continuing to work hard to create an inclusive environment so that we can embrace and benefit from the skills, talent and knowledge that a diverse workforce delivers. Being shortlisted for a sixth time highlights inspire us to keep the momentum going and do better for our colleagues at present and in the future. ” Alan Belfield Alan Belfield Chair

The list and supplement in The Times is produced in partnership with Opportunity Now, the workplace gender campaign from Business in the Community.

The Times Top 50 Employers for Women list highlights organisations that have demonstrated that gender equality is a key part of their business strategy, with consistent commitment to creating workplaces and cultures that are inclusive of women from entry level through to senior leadership.
