Arup collaborated with governing bodies in both the United Kingdom and Brazil through the Prosperity Fund to discuss present and future best practices for infrastructure projects.

In early December, São Paulo Tenders and Infrastructure Projects (SP Infra), as part of their collaboration with Arup through the Prosperity Fund, held a series of classes taught by professors from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation. Attended by several state government officials, the course focused on the structuring of infrastructure projects in Brazil, including the potential for public-private partnerships.

Participants also discussed projects already underway in Brazil, with particular focus on monetary value, the maximisation of public assets and real estate investment funds, the provision of delegated public services, economic and financial rebalancing, and risk allocation. The course allowed for a successful exchange of information between government areas with different levels of expertise in structuring partnership projects.
