Can Misses Hospital

Can Misses Hospital is a public institution managed by the Health Service of the Balearic Islands on the island of Ibiza. The health service caters for more than 130,000 people in the region.

In 2008, IB-SALUT hired the services of VDC, a joint venture in which Arup has taken part, for services to facilities and structural engineering for the design of a new centre and the redevelopment of existing facilities.

The new infrastructure, scheduled for completion in June 2011, will address current healthcare demand and will create new spaces to improve patient stays. The hospital will also have the latest technologies to extend the portfolio of services offered.
