Krakow Congress Centre

  • Mechanical, electrical and acoustic design on a new world-class music venue for Krakow

Krakow’s Congress Centre will reinforce the city’s credentials as a leading centre of culture and business in Poland and Europe. Designed to host both classical and contemporary music events, it will be the preeminent centre of its kind in the country.

With 40,000m2 of space, the building’s music halls include a 1,800-seat main auditorium and a 600-seat theatre.

The building will also include conference rooms, stock room and technical backrooms as well as an underground parking garage for over 300 vehicles.

Arup’s acoustics and venue consultants performed vibration surveys and created acoustic models to analyse ambient noise levels.

The firm's technical and engineering teams assisted with the design concept, building permit negotiations and mechanicalelectrical and public health engineering (MEP) services until the execution design stage.
