The Forth Replacement Crossing will be the largest infrastructure project in Scotland for a generation and is understood to represent the country's largest ever transport consultancy contract.

One of the world's leading long-span bridge designers, Arup was selected as part of a joint venture with Jacobs Engineering UK Ltd to design, develop and project-manage a new cable-stayed bridge crossing the river Forth near Edinburgh. The new bridge will be located to the west, upstream of the existing Forth Road Bridge.
