This project comprises an intake structure to be built inside the La Mesa Dam connected to a 1.8m diameter tunnel with an approximate length of 4.7km, a 150m litres per day water treatment plant and a reservoir.
Arup has been appointed by Manila Water to provide project management services for the project. The firm will assist with the procurement of a design and build contractor, conduct a detailed design review, administer the contract and manage construction up to handover.
The project is planned for completion by mid-2011.
