As a trust-owned firm with no individual shareholders or external investors, Arup sets its own direction – independently. This allows us to choose work that aligns with our values, working with clients on ambitious projects that will set new standards.

Arup is led by its Group Board, supported by leaders in five global regions. 

The firm’s Chair leads the Group Board for a term of up to five years, and is drawn from within the organisation, appointed by the Trustees. This ensures a stable evolution of our priorities, one that remains in accordance with our aims and values.
