Arup has over 20 years of experience in Taiwan, and in 2010 we formally established an office in Taipei given our extended portfolio of projects in the region.

We provided multidisciplinary services to Taipei Performing Arts Centre and Taichung Opera House, combining arts with science to bring cultural vitality and economic vibrancy to the region.

Marrying creative design with sustainable solutions, our strategic infrastructure projects such as Kaohsiung Port terminal and cruise service centre and Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 3 help strengthen Taiwan’s position as a regional transport hub.

The 2017 Taipei Universiade put another Arup project – Taipei Tennis Center –  in the limelight.  Our innovative solutions enabled the iconic cable-stayed roofs and helped the building achieve Diamond Grade on Taiwan’s EEWH green building rating system.
