St Petersburg

St Petersburg was the capital of the Russian Empire for more than 200 years and is now a key cultural, industrial and financial centre of Russia. Europe's third largest city, it is also a major trade gateway between Russia and Scandinavia with an extensive system of seaports and river ports along the Neva River.

Also famed for its architecture, the historic Baroque and neoclassical buildings of the 18th and 19th centuries have been largely preserved and have seen the city centre listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Current projects include the world class Dunes Golf resort, a major new car manufacturing plant and the Corinthia Nevsky Palace Hotel - the city’s largest new hotel development. The project includes renovation and expansion of the existing hotel, and the development of an adjacent site as a retail and business centre.
