Arup established an office in Seoul in 1999. We work closely with local clients and partners and draw upon expertise from our global network to deliver tailored multidisciplinary services. As South Korea begins its drive for a sustainable future, Arup continues to offer its building sustainability and LEED® assessment expertise to clients. Our signature projects include GREEN TOMORROW, the first LEED Platinum-certified building in Asia. Our portfolio in the country includes many high profile projects such as New Songdo City and Incheon Bridge.

    Arup receives highest Award at this year’s Asian Lighting Design Awards

    The Dongdaemun Design Plaza is a cultural hub at the centre of a historic district of Seoul, creating a new civic space for the city. It is a home to a variety of public spaces including art/exhibition halls, a convention centre, a museum space, design labs, seminar rooms and other associated facilities.

    Arup continues growth and improves performance

    The firm’s annual income rose to £1.13bn as a result of strong financial growth in the UK, Asia and America. The Group generated profits before taxation and profit sharing to staff of £96.7 million. As the firm has no external shareholders, the employee-owned business was able to distribute two thirds of this profit back to staff members.
