Quasar Istanbul is the first project in Turkey to be awarded pre-certification of the sustainable building certification DGNB (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen).
DGNB is a German system that assesses buildings and urban districts which demonstrate an outstanding commitment to meeting sustainability objectives. Quasar Istanbul is the first project in Turkey awarded with this pre-certification in the Gold category.
Consisting of high class residences, hotel, retail, office and cultural functions with supportive facilities and car park, the project has a total construction area of 184,000m2.
The project also includes the restoration and refurbishment of historical liqueur factory existing on site.
Arup’s Istanbul office is providing project management services during design, tender and construction phases with complete site presence.
