New global lead for strategic aviation security team

Global design and engineering firm Arup welcomes Stacey Peel, an Aviation Security Specialist, as the new global lead for the strategic aviation security business.

Based in the Australian city of Canberra, Stacey will work with our Global Resilience, Security and Risk and Aviation Groups on global aviation projects, including those in Australasia, UK, Middle East and Africa. Stacey will use her background in government policy, risk management, regulation and operations to add value to Arup’s holistic approach to delivering aviation solutions.

Arup is already a global leader in the design and development of airports. Stacey’s leadership and experience in the development of threat-based preventative security policies, procedures and enablers for commercial and government aviation interests is welcomed as it will allow us to offer our clients a full range of services in the evolving aviation market. ”

Prior to joining Arup, Stacey was the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Asia Pacific Aviation Security Regional Officer. Stacey led ICAO’s interface with 40 States and Administrations for security and facilitation matters under the International Convention on Civil Aviation (Chicago Convention). Stacey’s international aviation security experience also includes working in diplomatic and advisory roles with the Australian Federal Government.
