For the fourth consecutive year, Arup has been named in “The Times Top 50 Employers for Women”, formally recognising the firm as one of the top 50 companies in the UK that are leading the way in gender equality in the workplace.

The list, which was published today, is the result of an in-depth review of both internal processes and external activity which organisations undertake to create workplaces that are positive environments for both men and women.

Providing an inclusive and supportive workplace is a key priority for Arup. When people feel valued, they flourish and we strongly believe that diverse teams are more innovative and can help find better solutions for our clients, enabling our business and our clients’ business to grow. ” Alan Belfield Alan Belfield Chair

The list and supplement in The Times is produced in partnership with Opportunity Now, the gender campaign from Business in the Community.

Congratulations to Arup on being included in The Times Top 50 Employers for Women 2014. The standard of entries was incredibly high once again, and they should be hugely proud of their success. They are a great example of strong leadership; of how putting gender equality at the core of a business can create real, sustainable change for women, organisations and society as a whole. I hope other employers will be inspired by their work and use it to accelerate progress for women in their workforce. ” Kathryn Narwockyi Director of Opportunity Now
