Arup celebrated the next phase of the Champlain Bridge Corridor Project with a groundbreaking ceremony.

The construction phase of the busiest corridor in Canada is now underway. One of the largest infrastructure projects in North America, the Champlain Bridge Corridor Project includes the replacement of the 3.4km-long Champlain Bridge and 4km of congested urban highway. Working directly for Infrastructure Canada, Arup provided expert technical advice and design development to accelerate the delivery of the $4.239bn public private partnership project. The bridge is expected to open in December 2018.

Arup is proud to have delivered a technically viable, economically affordable yet architecturally iconic design, in collaboration with its partners and Infrastructure Canada. We have worked hard to ensure that the project specifications are flexible enough to realize the transportation demands of the Montreal region for the next 125 years. ” Martin Landry Martin Landry Principal

As new partners join the project, Arup will continue to support the Canadian Government throughout the project, working to ensure the objectives are realised.
