Arup introduced the updated Drivers of Change cards, focused on global water resource trends and best practices, during “The Future of Urban Water” conference in São Paulo.
“The Future of Urban Water,” a conference focused on water management in Brazil, was held in São Paulo from 11–12 November. Organised in collaboration with Insper and Arq.Futuro, the seminar explored some of the key trends and issues shaping the future of water globally as Brazil grapples with water scarcity.
During the event, Arup’s Foresight, Research + Innovation group launched Drivers of Change Water. The publication explores trends, analysis, and forecasts on water management in the coming decades around the world, analysing challenges and opportunities in socio-economic, environmental, technological, and political terms.
On the first day of the conference, a public seminar was held featuring lectures, debates, and a panel discussion with experts and sector authorities. On the second day, an exclusive workshop brought together government and civil society representatives, service providers, policy makers, academics, architects, engineers, investors, urban planners, and opinion makers on the topic of water scarcity and management.
