Arup was named Company of the Year in the British Business Awards organised by the British Chamber of Commerce in Japan.

The annual award recognises British innovation, entrepreneurship, business success and social contributions in Japan. Organised for the eighth consecutive year, it is one of the largest annual events enjoyed by the foreign business community in Japan and a unique showcase for British creativity, culture and commerce.

With 26 years of experience in Japan, Arup combines local insight with global expertise to deliver a wide range of landmark projects across the country, and cemented a reputation for creative design, technical excellence and strategic management.

We unite a global network of inventive and highly skilled engineers and designers, to create buildings that work better for people. Our notable structures include the Ribbon Chapel, Kadare Cultural Centre, Nicolas G Hayak Center and MODE GAKUEN Cocoon Tower. In recent years, we partner with renowned Japanese architects to deliver public sector projects, such as Oita Prefectural Art Museum, Expo Milano 2015 Japan Pavilion and “Minna no Mori” Gifu Media Cosmos.

This award recognises Arup's commitment and contribution in Japan across buildings and infrastructure. We are proud to be at the forefront of creating a built environment that works better for people. This endorsement will further encourage us to put our best efforts to ensure our contribution leaves a long-lasting, positive legacy.
