Arup enjoyed success at the Consult Australia Awards on Friday, 25 November 2016, winning three Gold Awards as well as taking the coveted title of Large Firm of the Year.

Arup has been recognised at the Consult Australia awards for many years for our projects, people and approach to collaboration.

Our clients and collaborators also share in this award – our collective desire to push the boundaries of design thinking as well as delivering great outcomes for people and communities is the driving force behind many of our projects. ” Peter Bailey Peter Bailey Principal and Trustee Director

Perth Airport T1 Domestic and International Departures Expansion took Gold for the Collaboration category.

The design for both new facilities involved multiple stakeholders with highly complex operational processes, and the success of the project relied Arup's design leadership (delivered in conjunction with architect Woods Bagot) and having a thorough understanding of stakeholder requirements.

The resulting design has delivered a number of exciting firsts for the Airport including a combined international and domestic service offering at T1, two A380 gates, the introduction of cutting-edges self-service technology and the ability for passengers to transfer seamlessly between regional, interstate and international services in one convenient location. ” Kate West Kate West Co-Chair, Australasia Region
