Arup’s risk team were awarded with the Major Capital Project of the Year award and named Risk Management Specialist Company of the Year.

A testament to their hard work and team ethic, these award wins also build upon last year’s success of being named the CIR Risk Management Team of the Year.

They were awarded the Major Capital Project award for their work with London Overground on the London Overground Capacity Improvement Programme (LOCIP) which demonstrated a robust risk management approach that delivered 25 per cent more capacity for travellers.

These awards are a huge achievement for the team. Embedding ourselves on LOCIP with London Overground enabled us to deliver our work ahead of programme. We’re proud to have been a part of such a transformational project that means a safe and reliable service to Overground travellers. It’s these projects that allow us to harness our knowledge, work as trusted advisors and provide the best solution for each of our clients. It’s wonderful to have our dedication acknowledged.

This is just one example which demonstrates the team’s passion to delivering innovative risk solutions to their clients – which contributed to them being named Specialist Company of the Year award. Working across both private and public sector companies worldwide, they help clients understand their exposure to threats and make better informed decisions and responses - whether they originate from natural hazards or human-driven threats.

Currently into their 7th year, the awards recognise those individuals, organisations and teams that have significantly contributed to the understanding and practice of risk management. For a full list of winners read here.
