Arup is the lead partner for the Road User Charging (RUC) Conference, taking place in Brussels, Belgium on 8 and 9 March 2017.
The conference provides an opportunity for leading practitioners from around the world to discuss the latest insights, review case studies, and debate current trends and future challenges.
Getting international perspectives on RUC is vital in order to understand the future of intelligent transportation systems. Padraig Kenny, Associate Director at Arup in Dublin, will be delivering two presentations at the conference. He will be discussing legal/regulatory compliance and risk management through the lifecycle of a tolling operation and will provide some lessons learned in procuring next-generation tolling operations contracts. Padraig will also discuss the importance of cybersecurity and how to minimise the risk of being affected and will detail some lessons learned from the M50 eFlow Tolling Operations Management Services in Ireland.
Arup takes a leading role in driving the Intelligent Mobility agenda and is heavily involved with developing the Intelligent Transport Solutions (ITS) industry around the world.
