Konstantinovo North Village, Moscow Region

A series of interconnected urban villages and employment districts

Konstantinovo is a US$3bn project located on the outskirts of Moscow on the way to Domodedovo airport. The development is planned as a series of urban villages and employment districts, interconnected with one another and the existing settlements by a comprehensive open space, transit, roadway and pedestrian circulation system.

Upon completion, the project will comprise 6.5m square metres of residential housing and 2.6m square metres of commercial property. The town will also host a media park,theme park and a new motor racing circuit.

The project includes construction of a high-speed railway that will enable inhabitants of Moscow region to reach the capital in 25 minutes.

The North Village area comprises approximately 267ha and is sub-divided into a series of development zones.

Our teams in Russia and the United Kingdom worked together with Swanke Hayden Connell Architects to achieve technical solutions for the architect’s vision.

We also acted as transport consultant to the architect – providing assessment and support on transportation issues and engineering briefs to guide sub-consultants and other designers that helped address requirements associated with structural design, building services design, civil engineering design for utilities and earthworks and fire and security

Konstantinovo will become one of the first massive high quality developments in Moscow Region, with comfortable business, residential, retail and leisure areas as well as good transport and infrastructure.
