The Cap Vermell Proyectos y Promociones SL group, with US international hotel chain Hyatt, seleted Arup to carry out a five-star, 142-room hotel project in the municipality of Capdepera, Mallorca.
The scope of Arup´s services included infrastructure and structure design, mechanical and electrical engineering, plumbing, fire engineering, alternative energies and fire strategy.
The 50,000m2 complex includes 55 exclusive villas, nine buildings, a golf club, the exclusive ’Cap Vermell Beach Club’ and other public areas with gardens, restaurants, waterfalls, pools and spa.
Thanks to its design features, the exclusive resort received the Best Hotel Architecture Spain 2016 at the European Property Awards.
