Arup has been responsible for the architectural, structural and plant of this footbridge crossing Milan's Serra Boulevard.
The bridge allows a direct connection between the square of the new business centre, the residential area and the nearby Portello Park.
The Footbridge is a structure consisting of a deck supported by a parabolic arc. The span between the supports of the arch is 90m, the external portion of the trench is about 25m in length.
The deck and the arch will be made of steel and arch support structure will be the sculptures in concrete made with special molds.
The bridge is now under construction and the planned completion date is August 2012.
