Specialist consultancy services for Siem Reap International Airport expansion works

Siem Reap International Airport is the main point of entry for tourists to Cambodia. The tourist traffic through the airport comprises over 95% of all airport traffic primarily due to its close proximity to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Angkor Temples. The airport has continued to witness double-digit increases in passenger traffic and as a result, Cambodia Airports is investing in an extensive airport expansion programme to meet the current and future projected demands.

Siem Reap International Airport will double its capacity from 2 million to 4 million passengers a year by 2015. The works shall comprise a major expansion of the existing terminal building and an upgrading of all the airport operation, security and baggage handling systems to cater for the new capacity of the airport.

Arup was appointed to review the operational layout of the new expanded airport and also to provide detailed design services for all the airport operational systems including airport check-in and departure controls, ICT, security, management and baggage handling systems
