Who we are
Sustainability has always been an integral part of the Arup culture.
It is central not only to our aspiration 'to shape a better world', but to our day-to-day business dealings.
We are determined to make a significant contribution to the sustainability debate and deliver lasting value. We are contributing on the world stage, including presentations at the Johannesburg World Summit on Sustainable Development in September 2002.
Much of this commitment was channelled into setting up the Global Alliance for Building Sustainability (GABS). As an original signatory of the GABS charter, Arup is pledged to support international efforts to close the gap between sustainable development policy and practice.
We have established a core team of active specialists to drive the language and actions of sustainability into Arup project work and provide sustainability services for new and existing clients.
