Arup Water

The challenges of water management are both global and local. These challenges affect all types of communities, as well as everyone of us as we carry out our daily lives.

Over one billion people struggle everyday to find enough clean water with which to live. Poor sanitation poses a major threat to human health and improved management of hygiene and wastewater is needed worldwide. Those benefiting from a reliable water supply and adequate sanitation face different issues which include recognising the true value of water and handling the increasing demand for efficiency and quality.

Decision and policy makers and those involved with water industries have a fundamental responsibility to these communities to address these issues. Meeting these challenges requires an integrated approach across increasingly diverse disciplines and management approaches - a challenge ideally suited to Arup’s breadth of skills and our holistic, collaborative approach.

Water sustains life, and the Arup approach provides solutions to enable the management of water in a sustainable way.
