This publication brings to life six standout initiatives from Arup’s Future Ideas for the West of England competition, where our junior members reimagined the region through a fresh, hopeful lens. From modular cycle parking and co-working hubs to retrofit revival schemes and a Library of Things, each idea tackles real challenges like climate resilience, social inequality, and local connectivity—with bold thinking and practical design.

These are more than just proposals—they're a reflection of the innovation and collaboration alive in Arup and the wider West of England community.
