Located in the heart of the Loop, Arup’s Chicago office was established in 2004. Our engineers and consultants collaborate with prominent local and international firms, focusing on education, commercial, transport, and arts and culture projects. Within our office, we collaborate with designers and clients in our revolutionary SoundLab, a controlled auralization environment that allows clients to experience and compare the acoustic performance of various design options. Significant projects include the Poetry Foundation, the annual open-air temporary installation at Ragdale Ring, WW Grainger Headquarters, the Lycée Français de Chicago, and the University of Chicago Laboratory School Renovations.
Arup’s buildings and consulting teams are working on public and private projects, including the Chicago Union Station Phase 1A, 300 North Michigan Avenue residential tower, Illinois Institute of Technology Innovation Center, digital masterplans for The Wharf and Union Point new site developments, Nanotechnology and Bioengineering Institute in Monterrey, Mexico, and ongoing state-of-the-art technology owner’s representative services for Microsoft and Amazon.
