We have roles available in the following areas:

Acoustics and audio visual

Our Acoustics team works with architectural, building, transport and environmental acoustics. This might include controlling noise from new major infrastructure such as a road upgrade to designing comfortable spaces in beautiful buildings. Our Audio Visual team work closely with our clients to find technology solutions tailored to the different needs of individual projects. Our Theatre team have designed and worked on many renowned theatres around the world – this is an opportunity to pick some of the best brains in this niche industry. We are one of the few organisations that works across the full audio visual spectrum.


Advisory

Independent, creative and pragmatic, our Advisory Services specialists are a global team of strategists, economists, project managers, change managers and performance specialists. The clients we work with benefit from our seven decades of technical and engineering expertise, shaping the places where people live and work.

Digital

We bring together digital capability with specialist depth in technical engineering domains to provide digital strategy, services and solutions that meet our clients’ current and emerging needs.  We achieve this through Arup’s deep commitment to ensuring a resilient and sustainable world, underpinned by our founding social values. We are looking for people with skills in software engineering, programming, data engineering, building information modelling (BIM), geographic information systems (GIS), visualisation and gaming.

Fire engineering

Whether providing code consultancy, strategic advice, fire prevention through specialised fire safety design, construction supervision, inspection and risk assessment, or post-fire recovery, our work is grounded in fire science.

Economics, Planning and Design

Through collaborative, contextual and innovative design, we create the urban solutions needed for the difficult challenges of our time. We are a team that come from a mix of disciplines including architecture, landscape architects, urban planning, city planning and economics. We work collaboratively on projects along with a wide range of our specialist disciplines that range from city-scale master plans and planning strategies through to buildings and intimate pieces of public realm. Resilience, security and risk 

We provide trusted security and resilience advice to private and public sector clients worldwide. We help organisations to understand their exposure to threats, and make better informed responses. Our services include strategic risk management, technical risk assessment, operational planning, security engineering and counter-terrorism measures.

Transport planning 

We use sophisticated forecasting and modelling to consider all forms of transport – including walking and cycling, freight and the urban bus and metro links that connect with intercity and inter-regional transport. We are looking for people to help us design cutting-edge software and geographic information systems as we look to connect more people with smarter transport solutions.
