Working at Arup

Our graduates work on challenging, iconic projects from day one. Here’s what some of them have to say:

Jodie, Operations Consulting

"It’s so satisfying and enjoyable when you get the chance to collaborate with other people in your project team to produce a solution that works for everyone."

Jodie started at Arup as a graduate after completing a Masters degree in Engineering, Economics and Management at Oxford University. She‘s been involved in offering logistics and operations consulting on a variety of large London projects.

Ralph, Mechanical Engineer

“You feel valued as a graduate, you’re not just put on tiny projects or just doing sums, you are really involved in these prestigious projects from the start.”

Within his first year as a graduate engineer, Ralph has worked on many exciting projects, including the Leadenhall building in London.

Beth, Environmental Consultant

I have worked full time for my first year on co-ordinating the environmental impact assessment of HS2. It has been a huge and high profile project to work on as a new professional in the field but I have enjoyed every minute of it and have certainly learnt a lot!

Will, Structural Engineer

“The responsibility you are given at Arup is a lot bigger than I was expecting”

Will joined the advanced technology and research group and has been working on a structure that will be built outside the Victoria and Albert museum in London.
