Working life in Australia
Arup came to Australia in 1963 to undertake the structural design of the Sydney Opera House and we now work from eight offices across four key areas of influence: cities, connectivity, health, resources.
We provide services for every stage of a project – from inception to completion and beyond. We undertake projects of all types and sizes from feasibility reports and specialist studies to detailed design and large scale capital works programs.
We recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and history of our region, and Arup's Indigenous Employment Strategy articulates our actions to broaden employment opportunities for Indigenous Australians into, and within, the firm.

Being a grad at Arup means working alongside change-makers – people who inspire, challenge and support you every step of the way!
The opportunity to join a workplace that has people who are “proud” of their work and “share a general enthusiasm” to my own ideals has been a once in a lifetime opportunity.
I love that I can feel proud of what I do each day and sleep easy knowing that I am contributing to a brighter future.
