We opened our first office in South Africa in Johannesburg in 1954, giving us a presence in the country for well over 60 years. Since then, we have gone on to open offices in Durban and Cape Town.

Working from these three locations our members have played a leading role in solving the world's most complex problems to deliver what seems impossible.

We’re a thriving and growing organisation with expertise in integrated building design, transport and logistics planning; large infrastructure; property solutions; and energy strategies.

Due to our considerable local technical design and advisory expertise, our renewable energy team is considered the Arup Global Centre of Excellence, contributing to projects in locations as diverse as Australia, Turkey and Thailand.
