Davar is an Arup Fellow, consultant and retired director. He is highly experienced in the technical management, design, specification, and commissioning of mechanical systems in a broad range of industrial and commercial buildings, including road, rail tunnels and tunnels for specific purpose and mining.
His skills and expertise are in the design of thermo-fluid systems, steam plants, compressed air plants, water purification and treatment, cooling systems, district cooling and heating, air movement, aerodynamic analysis, air filtration, energy management, monitoring & control systems, SCADA and HVAC Systems. He is an expert in the analysis and design of tunnel ventilation, piping network, thermal stresses, and water hammer in long piped transmission.
During his career, Davar worked on a wide portfolio of projects around the world. Some of his most notable projects include: Second Avenue Subway (USA), Cityringen Metro (Denmark), Fulton Street Transit Hub (USA), GSK Research Centre (UK), Paula Seraya Tunnel (Singapore), Bosphorous Crossing (Turkey), IBM Shenzhan (PRC), Toyota Deby (UK), Opel Mfg (Poland and Thailand), SAB Kaluga Brewery (Russia), Leak mead Tunnel (USA), and The Heart of Doha (Qatar), among many others.
