Kate Hall
Director
Kate Hall is Arup's Major Projects Design Director and a board member for the UK, India, Middle East, and Africa region.
Based in the UK, she specialises in leading large multi-disciplinary teams through all project stages, from inception to completion. Currently, she serves as the Enterprise Director for the Great Grid Upgrade Project with National Grid, supporting the UK's transition to net zero.
With 28 years of civil engineering experience, Kate has played pivotal roles in major infrastructure projects worldwide, including 13 years as High-Speed Rail 2 Director in the UK, 6 years leading Arup's Olympic Park Infrastructure Design Team for London 2012, and 5 years working on the Hong Kong Airport International Station.
Kate also chairs the Engineering Leadership Group and is an official partner to The Earthshot Prize, sponsoring the Revive our Oceans initiative. She is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT), holds an honorary Doctorate of Engineering, and a Masters of Construction from Cambridge University.
