Richard de Cani is the Chief Officer for Global Business and Markets at Arup, responsible for leading the delivery of the Arup global business strategy.

He is a Chartered Town Planner and Transport planner by background, with over 30 years experience across city government and consulting, working on a wide range of infrastructure and urban planning projects around the world.  During his time in Government, Richard worked for Transport for London and the Mayor of London in the UK, responsible for   planning and delivery of the long-term transport strategy for London.  

Through his project work he helps our clients address challenges facing cities including population growth, urbanisation, climate change adaptation, health and wellbeing, poverty and economic growth.  His approach is highly integrated, bringing together the right combination of specialists to deliver the outcomes that a city is looking for.
