The Arup graduate programme provides many unique and invaluable opportunities for fresh graduates to explore our capabilities through working on various projects and to learn through meeting colleagues around the globe.
East Asia Graduate, Arup
Developing you from day one
At the start, new graduates take part in a one-week programme, where they gain insights into Arup’s culture and values, learn about our commitment to a sustainability and adjust to our fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Throughout your time as a graduate, you will be provided with structured learning and development programmes that will enable you to mature professionally and create remarkable outcomes throughout your career at Arup.
We hire people across a wide range of services – from accounting and finance, through civil and structural engineering, to IT and communications specialists.
As an Arup graduate trainee you will have:
- Studied or be studying in a field relevant to the team you want to join
- Meet the work rights requirements for the chosen country
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Plenty of self-motivation and be willing to take on new challenges
- A well-rounded personality, with extra-curricular interests and most importantly a passion for the work we do

Our recruitment process is both comprehensive and confidential, designed to make sure we’re a good fit and that you’ll get the most from the program you’re applying for.
Each country in which we recruit his slight variations in its interview process so its important that you are aware of the dates below:
- Hong Kong - September to February. You are welcome to apply throughout the year.
- Japan - throughout the year
- Macau - December to June
- Mainland China - September to Mar
- Philippines - throughout the year
- Vietnam - March to August
