Graham leads Arup's UKIMEA Materials practice. He is a metallurgist by training and a specialist in corrosion and corrosion control.

He joined Arup in 1987 and has worked on more than 2,700 projects in 62 countries across many Arup disciplines and at all stages of the project cycle. Both his project work and research span many Arup businesses, including buildings and architecture, onshore and offshore energy and civil infrastructure.

During his career, Graham has influenced the development of standards and best practice for corrosion/corrosion control through project work, industry working groups and national/international standards related to the built environment. These include corrosion protection specifications, selection and use of stainless steel and the development of data methods for corrosion risk assessments.
