Rachel Taylor is the UKIMEA Fire Safety Leader and a chartered fire safety engineer at Arup, with over 19 years’ experience delivering major projects across the UK and internationally.

With extensive experience in leading fire safety strategies, her work spans high-profile developments across rail, commercial, residential, and healthcare sectors, including the Elizabeth Line, High Speed 2, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Chelsea Barracks, and Education City in Doha.

Rachel is widely recognised for her technical authority, collaborative leadership, and ability to drive compliance and resilience through integrated design.  She is a passionate advocate for safety equity and social value, actively contributing to industry panels and thought leadership in response to evolving regulations. Rachel’s leadership helps shape safer, more resilient environments, reflecting Arup’s commitment to excellence and sustainable design.
