2025 marks the fourth time Arup has achieved the top position in the Business Support Services category of the Britain’s Most Admired Companies rankings - the UK’s longest-running and only peer-reviewed corporate reputation survey.
The result builds on Arup’s strong performance in the Britain’s Most Admired Companies Index, which also recognised the firm as Overall Britain’s Most Admired Company in 2021.
Arup’s 2025 position as 1st in the Business Support Services sector is based on assessments from peers, financial analysts and City commentators across the study’s 13 drivers of corporate reputation, including leadership, governance, talent, innovation, competitiveness and long‑term value.
The win reflects continued confidence in the firm’s ability to deliver high-impact outcomes for clients and society, while sustaining excellence across these drivers.
Tom Wilcock, Managing Director at Arup UKIMEA, said: “Arup is proud to be recognised as Britain’s Most Admired Company in the Business Support Services sector again, reflecting the commitment of our people and the impact we deliver with our clients. From strengthening climate resilience and advancing sustainable infrastructure, to supporting the future of cities and communities, we remain focused on delivering solutions that help shape a better world.”
Sandra Macleod, Group CEO at Echo Research, said: “The Britain’s Most Admired Companies study draws on evaluations from those with direct insight into corporate performance. Arup’s sector result this year indicates consistent regard across the market. Achieving the top position for a fourth time, alongside its overall ranking in 2021, highlights the firm’s performance across the study’s reputation drivers.”
The Britain’s Most Admired Companies study, conducted by Echo Research in partnership with the London Stock Exchange, is now in its 36th year. Fieldwork involved contributions from more than 350 board‑level executives, analysts and commentators. Participants evaluated 260 UK companies across 28 sectors.
