At the heart of Kai Tak Stadium’s AV design is a bold vision: to deliver a seamless and immersive experience for every spectator, whether attending a sports event or a concert. Arup’s AV solution realises this vision through an extensive range of fully integrated AV infrastructure and systems, featuring centralised and networked control that enables rapid transitions between event types.

Key features include zero-latency LED walls for real-time broadcasting, instant replays and dynamic event visuals. The advanced public address system, with 35 clusters of line-array speakers, delivers exceptional sound clarity and uniform coverage across all 50,000 seats. More than 700 display screens are connected to the in-house AV broadcasting system with minimal latency for live feeds.

Designed with sustainability and flexibility in mind, the AV systems incorporate energy-efficient features and allow for future upgrades as technology evolves.

Since opening in March 2025, Kai Tak Stadium has already hosted numerous high-profile international sporting events and concerts, welcoming more than one million visitors. The venue is poised to play a significant role in the upcoming National Games in November 2025, demonstrating its role as Hong Kong’s premier destination for world-class sports and entertainment.
